Cordis is a worldwide leader in the development and manufacture of interventional vascular technology with a more than 50-year history of delivering pioneering products to treat millions of patients. With a reputation for clinical acumen, training and services, Cordis established a legacy of innovation in high-quality and less-invasive cardiovascular products and built a strong global footprint with operations in countries around the world.

                                  Cardiology

Cordis has been developing and manufacturing products to treat patients who suffer from cardiovascular disease for more than 50 years. Our cardiology portfolio helps support the interventional suite by providing high-quality and cost-effective interventional products such as sheaths, diagnostic guidewires, diagnostic catheters, steerable guidewires and PTCA Balloons. We work with our customers to identify solutions to provide the best possible outcomes for both physicians and patients.

Avanti+ Sheath Introducer

Access Portfolio

Access

Available with or without mini-guidewire (mid-length without wire only) Available in three lengths (usable cannula length)

5.5cm = brachial & paediatric

11cm = standard length

23cm = mid-length

For use in arterial and venous procedures requiring percutaneous introduction of intravascular devices, the AVANTI+ Introducer is a pioneer in catheter sheath introducer technology. Featuring a patented SLIX Valve, the AVANTI+ Introducer provides smooth transitions, monitoring capabilities and exceptional performance for your procedural success.

  • A hexacuspid design that provides a balance between catheter maneuverability and hemostasis.

  • A rotating suture collar that facilitates greater procedural flexibility. It provides position stability and allows more patient movement.

  • A kink-resistant cannula design integrating a soft, flexible inner layer with a stiffer outer layer for improved bendability and support. It is also less prone to kinking, cost-effective and reliable.

Diagnostic Portfolio

Diadnos

Rosen Heavy Duty and Amplatz Super Stiff PTFE-Coated EMERALDTM Guidewires

EMERALD Guidewire with solid tensile strength to minimize the likelihood of stretching or fracturing. In the unlikely event this occurs, a safety ribbon is welded to both ends of the wire to help the wire remain intact.

  • Enhanced maneuverability

  • Finger straightenability

  • Proprietary PTFE coating process

  • Available in multiple shapes and sizes

Available separately or in CORPAC which includes 3 diagnostic catheters, 1 sheath and 1 diagnostic guidewire.

 INFINITI 4F, 5F & 6F line of diagnostic catheters is ideal for coronary angioplasty. These catheters incorporate proprietary VESTAN Nylon to deliver exceptional responsiveness and flow rates, optimal torque, and shape retention.

  • The THRULUMEN Design: provides the same inner lumen diameter from hub to tip, which eliminates contrast jetting and allows for smoother flow and improved catheter stability.

  • Large inner lumen: thin-wall technology allows for larger inner lumen diameter, thus facilitating easy injections and higher flow rates.

  • Radiopaque tip: helps reduce the risk of vascular damage upon entering tortuous or fragile vessels.

AQUATRACK Guidewire facilitates access to the most tortuous anatomy, providing the control, visibility and exceptional design symmetry that enable you to torque and maneuver through difficult lesions.

  • Enables easy navigation with challenging lesions

  • Increased turn-for-turn responsiveness leading to multi-vessel selection and lesion crossability

  • Good radiopacity can help promote faster and more accurate procedures

Lasting lubricity promotes excellent guide and device support, with a smooth ride from start to finish.

  • Stroke Reduction: Polyurethane membrane with 100 pores captures clinically relevant emboli and shown in clinical testing to reduce the rate of stroke*.

  • Self-Centering: The umbrella design centers in the vessel with high device delivery success and excellent wall apposition.

  • Visibility: Eight nitinol struts keep the symmetric basket in contact with the arterial wall, with marker bands on every other strut, in addition to a proximal and distal marker band to ensure high visibility during the procedure.

  • Excellent Crossability: Profile as low as 3.2F facilitates crossing difficult lesions.

Cordis ANGIOGUARD XP Guidewire System is the first embolic protection device shown in clinical testing to achieve a relative stroke reduction of 70% during carotid stenting procedures*.
